Bhai Taru Singh was a saint who lived during the troubled times when Mughals hunted Sikhs like wild animals.

Bhai Taru Singh was captured when he saved a young Muslim girl from the clutches of Mughals. When told to repent and embrace Islam to save his life, he refused and was brutally tortured which lead to his death. The movie captures the vents that lead to his sacrifice.

This story of Bhai Taru Singh is of a true saint soldier who lived during an extremely difficult period for the sikh.

He was a pious Sikh who following the teachings of the Sikh Gurus, worked hard tilling his land diligently and lived frugally; although not a rich man, he was always happy and did much for his Sikh brothers and sisters.

In attempt to transfer our stories to the next generation of Sikhs. the folks at Vismaad have taken on the monumental challenge of bringing our Sikh heroes to the big screen.

With their previous productions, Sahibzadey, The Rise of Khalsa, and Sundri – The Brave Kaur, they have single handedly created the genre of Sikh animation and brought our history to life. While there have been lots of technical challenges and limitations with the films, largely due to budget constraints, no one can question the hard work, dedication and sacrifice of Sukhwinder Singh and his team.
