If the Guru Sahib’s Parkash is in the Palki, then there should be a small Chandoa Sahib in the Palki and in turn a large Chandoa Sahib is to be hung just below the ceiling over the Palki Sahib or when there is Prakash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji on Peera Or Manji Sahib 

It is also called Chandani (Chanani).  It is to honour to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Next to the ceiling, a canopy of the proper size is kept spread above it. It should fully cover the platform with raised seat of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
