This novel revolves around the story of a farmer who lives in a village. The main character of this novel is Mahinder Singh becomes the chief of the house after passing 10^th grade. Due to the fact that Mahinder gets married before Inder (Mahinder’s elder brother), Inder starts to resent Mahinder. Namberdar sees an opportunity and tries fuel Inder’s Hatred towards Mahinder. In the end of the novel it is revealed how Inder gets a hold of everything Mahinder has.
